Meetings 

The Irish Skin Foundation and Novartis are bringing a panel of experts together to answer sufferers' questions on this topic on Wednesday November 9th beginning at 6:30pm.

On the night, each speaker will give a 5 minute introduction to their topic. Following this, you and fellow attendees will be divided into small groups at a round discussion table. The experts will move from table to table in rotation for a 20 minute Q&A session. This should allow for easy conversation and give you the chance to ask them questions about psoriasis, or just to listen, as you prefer. Whiskey 

Our sister bar An Púcán is widely regarded as having one of the best Whiskey collections in the west of Ireland. As a member of the Galway Whiskey Trail they are proudly teaching vistors about the rich whiskey heritage of the city.  This Wednesday November 9th at 7:30pm An Púcán presents a single pot still evening. This tasting is hosted by Irish Distillers Whiskey Ambassador Gerard Garland, tickets are €15 and available in An Púcán or on the door. 

Soccer 

Galway United Football Club have announced the appointment of Shane Keegan as first team manager this week. The Laois native has penned a two-year contract at Eamonn Deacy Park here in The Connacht Hotel. Keegan joins Galway United from Wexford Youths, where he spent five seasons in charge. 

Rugby

The Irish U20 squad are in Galway this week for a training camp and we are delighted to have the team staying with us. Its a great honour to have the future of Irish rugby here in The Connacht Hotel. No doubt they will be on a high after the incredible historic victory that the senior team secured in Chicago against the All Blacks on Saturday evening.
