Galwegians is located only a matter of yards from the hotel and is one of Connacht and Galway's leading rugby clubs with an active community of over 700 players and members. We are proud to be hospitality sponsor of Galwegians Rugby Club.

Galway United football club has great loyal fan base (known as The Maroon Army) coming from around the city and county of Galway, also extending into south Mayo and north Clare. We are always supporting our team, and are proud partner of GUFC.

The summer festival is the highlight of the event calendar in Galway and throught the equine industry and takes place on the last week in July, Monday - Sunday. We are delighted to sponsor the feature race on the opening day of the festival "The Connacht QR Handicap".

Astrobay is an all weather sports facility, and located close by the hotel in the grounds of Liam Mellows GAA Club, Ballyloughane, Renmore. The facility is open to the general public 7 days a week until 10pm, with fantastic daily rates available for guests and groups staying at The Connacht Hotel.

Oughterard Golf Club is an 18 Hole parkland course, The club is located on the N59, the main Galway Clifden Road, approx 25 Kilometers from Galway City. A warm welcome awaits visitors. The course which is lined with mature native Irish trees, including Oak, Hazel and Birch.

Perfect for any kind of group celebration, Pure Skill Indoor Sports Activity is "the first of it's kind in the world." The facility spans over 25,000 sq feet and allows the participant to play up to 10 sporting challenges and compete against the group for points. Pre-booking is highly reccomended and participants must be over 8 years of age to play. Let the games begin!

Go karting is a fun activity for adults and kids alike in 20,000 sq ft of FUN. They can organise Go Karting race meetings for larger groups and arrive and drive for those that wish to turn up and race.

Located opposite The Connacht Hotel (H91 FXE1), it povides a great way to relax and de-stress during your getaway in gorgeous Galway. Reflexology is a wonderfully healing and relaxing therapy where gentle pressure is applied to various points on the feet.
