More awards go to an púcán
Business woman of the year

This week was another successful week for our sister bar picking up two awards at the VFI Connacht Bar of the year awards. The awards ceremony which took place in Claremorris saw the best of Connacht’s Bars named over a number of different categories. An Púcán was recognised as the Most Innovative Bar in the West. It was also commended for having the Best Beer Garden in the West of Ireland. A fiercely contested category. The next stage is the national finals in November, so the very best of luck to the team in that.

This week, Connacht travel to Wales to take on table toppers the Scarletts in the Pro 14. Kieran Keane couldn’t have asked for a tougher test after last weeks disappointing late defeat to Cardiff Blues at home. The Friday night fixture will be a serious test of the squad and the new manager as the rocky start to the season continues. Let’s hope that he’s a bit chattier after Friday’s game.
