the connacht sponsors race week
It’s a very exciting week here in the hotel, we are sponsoring the big Race the Connacht Hotel QR Handicap. It promises to be a very exciting race with a great field in contention at the moment. On Thursday we are hosting a best dressed lady competition with a prize worth in excess of €1000. The competition will be judged by Galway Milliner Emily Jean and tv personality Marietta Doran. We have our selfie mirror located at reception and a pop up champagne bar to get you in the mood for the races.

free gig for ladies day
We have a top entertainment line up for the week with acts such as Dakota and the Cardinals. On Thursday, Ladies Day we have the brilliant Hermitage Green in the Ryan Room. The Limerick band are here with thanks to Bulmers Live who are sponsoring this free gig.

galway gaa weekend
In sport this is a huge weekend for the Galway Camogie players and Hurlers. The Ladies face Tipperary in the All Ireland Quarter Final on Saturday and go in as strong favourites. A tighter game is expected when the Galway minor hurlers take on their Kilkenny counterparts in the semi final on Sunday. The big game of course is the senior clash between Galway and Tipperary. Despite being defending champions it is Galway who go into this game as favourites. This year is widley regarded as Galway’s best chance of winning the Liam McCarthy Cup and this Sunday will be a huge test of their credentials.
