The Gradam Sheosaimh Uí óGartaigh
The Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2017 shortlists will be announced this week in the Eyre Square Shopping Center. The Galway Bilingual Business Award recognizes companies in the local area that actively promote the Irish language in the work place. We were very proud to win the prize for Tourism and Hospitality in 2016 and are hoping to be shortlisted in 2017 again.

As part of the Galway Food Festival Micil Poitín host a masterclass. You will be able to learn the history of poitin and enjoy a demo from Padraic O Griallais founder and distiller of Micil Poitin. Connacht v Leinster
This weekend see’s the Connacht Rugby team return to the Sportsground after an indiffernent run of away matches. Leinster are fresh from a narrow win against the Ospreys. They will definately have one eye on the Champions Cup semi final. This could give Connacht and opportunity to get a vital win. A full house in the Sportsground, under the lights should create a wonderful atmosphere and hopefully inspire Connacht to another famous win.
