2020 promises to be an incredible year in Irelands cultural heart on the Western seaboard. The European City of Culture title has been embraced with exuberance by locals, with the programme that is in place there is truly something for everyone.
A Kaleidoscope of Colour
Like the launch the year promises to be a kaleidoscope of colour and imagination. Galway and its people are looking forward to welcoming visitors from all over the world to savour and embrace this cultural manifestation.

Galway 2020 Programme of Events
Galway 2020’s full programme unveiling was marked with an aerial spectacle in Eyre Square, by French aerialists Gratte Ciela and Galway singer-composer Anna Mullarkey who composed the piece especially for the occasion.
The programme is as rich as diverse as the culture of the city and county it will inhabit for the next year. There is no party like a Galway party and in 2020 millions of new visitors will be able to enjoy it.
