Another month brings another list of fun, engaging, and memorable events taking place across Galway. November means we ready for those wintery vibes, but it also means lots more amazing get-togethers, concerts, and interesting family-friendly happenings. So, join us as we run through the latest edition of ‘What’s on in Galway’!

MICHAEL ENGLISH AT THE TOWN HALL THEATRE

November 3

Get ready for a night of fantastic music, entertaining performances, and recognisable hits as Michael English wows the crowds at the Town Hall Theatre. You’ll reel in the years with Michael’s incredible displays, and you’re sure to find your voice as the evening goes on – just try and stop yourself!

CONNACHT RUGBY VS. ULSTER

November 4

With the Rugby World Cup now over for Ireland, it’s time to turn our attentions to provincial excitement as Connacht take on Ulster in United Rugby Championship action. The Sportsground is the venue for what is sure to be a thrilling evening of pulsating drama as the home side look to climb the table. Bundee Aki and his fellow Rugby World Cup heroes won’t feature, but it’s a fantastic opportunity to see the rest of the excellent squad in action. 

GALWAY CHRISTMAS MARKET

November 10 - January 7

Jingle bells! Jingle bells! The Galway Christmas Market is back once again from November 10, and it’s expected to run into the New Year. You’ll love the artisanal stalls, boutique crafted souvenirs, festive food, and of course the German beer tent. This is the ideal way to experience Galway at Christmas because it’s full of magic, twinkly lights, and the best most Christmassy atmosphere you can imagine.

As the days grow that little bit colder in the winter, the one thing we really need is more indoor events. Thankfully, the Galway Indoor Market is ready to offer a few hours of fantastic browsing on November 11 between 11 am and 4 pm. You’ll discover some amazing vintage and retro offerings ideal for your visit to Galway.

DOLLY PARTON AT PÁLÁS CINEMA

November 15

If you’re a fan of the Queen of Country, then this event at Pálás Cinema is definitely for you. Dolly Parton is launching her new rock-inspired album ‘ROCKSTAR’, and you’re invited to grab tickets for this event which will see songs played for the first time. You’ll also get to enjoy an exclusive interview with Dolly herself, where she’s sure to talk about her inspiration behind her 66th studio album.  

THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE

November 18

One of the best Pink Floyd tribute acts are coming to the Black Box Theatre on November 18. This show promises to be a bonanza of Floyd’s greatest hits, brought to life faithfully and creatively by this talented eight-piece group.

CROÍ WOMEN AT HEART BRUNCH

November 19

Women’s heart health is such an important topic for discussion – because conversations lead to action. And that’s exactly what the Croí Women at Heart Brunch on November 19 is all about. A panel of experts will be chaired by the phenomenal Mary Rodgers, CEO or PorterShed and Galway City Innovation District. Speakers will include Dr Jennifer Jones, Director of Training and Education at NIPC; Dr Lisa Hynes health psychologist and Croí head of health programmes; and Aisling Harris, Croí cardiac and weight management dietetic lead.

SUSTAINABLE FASHION EVENT WITH GALWAY FOOD TOURS

Try something different this November 22 and engage in a Galway Food Tour with a difference. Join Lisa Regan as she guides you to boutiques like Kindf_olk and Public Romance. During, you’ll get advice on how grab something casual-chic that draws out the style of your pre-existing wardrobe. It’s always one of the highlights of the festive season when Elftown opens up – and it’s all swinging into action on November 24. This two-hour family-friendly experience is jam-packed like Santa’s sack, and always lots of fun for adults and little ones alike – after all, everybody, no matter what age, is happy to meet up with Santa Claus himself in the cosy grotto!
