THE GALWAY RACES SUMMER FESTIVAL
July 31-August 6
It’s back for another seven days of amazing action, and we’re looking forward to the pulsating racing, incredible fun, and head-turning fashion. Ballybrit Racecourse is the place to be until August 6th, and this is where you’ll get to experience the thrill of the summer calendar’s highlight. Giddy up!
GALWAY TRADITIONAL BOAT FESTIVAL (SALTHILL RACE)
August 5-6
The Galway Traditional Boat Festival is taking place over the course of a few months, and guests of The Connacht Hotel would be best placed to take in the Salthill edition. Here, you’ll be able to see old-world Galway Hooker boats like An Gleoiteog, An Leathbhád, and An Bád Mór. It would be a wonderful way to spend an afternoon on August 5th and 6th.
GALWAY UNITED VS. TREATY UNITED
August 7
Galway United’s senior men’s team look to continue their excellent League of Ireland First Division run as they welcome Treaty United from Limerick. It promises to be a fantastic occasion with lots of thrilling action – and hopefully plenty of goals. The Tribesmen are certainly favourites for the contest, but the visitors will be looking to cause an upset on the evening in front of the home crowd at Eamonn Deacy Park.
BRIGIT'S GARDEN SUMMER CAMPS
August 8-11
If you’re looking to give your little ones something fun to enjoy during your stay at The Connacht Hotel, why not check out the Brigit’s Garden Summer Camps? THE ANNUAL CONNEMARA PONY SHOW

Are you ready for the 98th Annual Connemara Pony Show? Taking place at The Showgrounds in Clifden from August 15-18, it promises a day of fun and excitement for all the family. There will be jumping, ridden classes, in-hand classes, and lots more – there will even be a dog show that’s sure to delight.
DANIEL O' DONNELL - LIVE

Irish music legend Daniel O’ Donnell brings his inimitable sound to Galway’s Leisureland on August 19 for a show that promises to be truly memorable.
