We are right in the middle of summer season now and its all go here in the Connacht Hotel.

To celebrate the summer we have a launched a new lunch menu. The new menu features some delicious new dishes including The Ploughman – a glazed home cooked ham sandwich with mature cheddar and gherkin relish on twisted rustic white bread. If you are a seafood fan we have lime and coriander marinated prawns. A favourite of mine is back on the menu the vegetable stir fry with bok choi. Stir-fried in a light soya, coriander and sweet chilli sauce with egg noodles. These are just a number of the beautiful dishes now available.
mervue united underage awards
This week we are delighted to host the annual Mervue United underage awards night. This has been a particularly successful season for our near neighbours. The night will look back on the haul of trophies won at all levels.
galway v wexford
This Sunday Galway will look to win only their second ever Leinster Senior Hurling title against Davy Fitzgearlds Wexford. With the season shaping up nicely for Anthony Cunninghams men a trophy at this stage of the season would definitely boost be a major confidence booster however they can take nothing for granted as its fair to say Galway haven’t had a major test this season unlike Wexford. One of the performances of the summer was by Lee Chin and his teammates against Kilkenny. Lets hope David Burke gets to receive another trophy from the President Michael D.
