The Connacht Hospitality Group consists of the following businesses: The Connacht Hotel, HYDE Hotel, The Residence Hotel, An Púcán, M.Fitzgerald's Bar, and Active 24 Fitness & Leisure.
Under the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), coming into effect on 25th May 2018, we are obliged to obtain and be able to prove ‘freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous’ consent in order to collect and process personal data. We’re taking action towards compliance, and we believe that the GDPR is an opportunity for us to send better, more relevant communications to our community.
What data is collected by The Group?
Your first name, last name and email address will be collected for our on-going email marketing strategy.
What is the purpose of this data collection?
As a loyal client/customer/guest of The Group we would like you to know about upcoming relevant news in recruitment, our corporate social responsibility strategy, fundraising, sponsorship, hotels deals, corporate events, food/drinks launches and promotions.
How is your data processed?
The Group uses the on-line email marketing system MailChimp that operates from the US. We also use WiFi loyalty system Captini, which operates from within Ireland. Both organisations are fully compliant with recent GDPR activities.
How long will your data be stored by the Group?
In accordance with GDPR we will reconfirm all data every 2 years. Until this time your personal data will only kept as a confirmation of consent and stored on MailChimp & Captini servers, which can only be accessed by our nominated data controller. You may opt out from any email marketing by using the unsubscribe links at the bottom of the marketing emails at any time.
