elf town galway
Galway is definitely the place to visit this festive season. Apart from the usual great shopping, we have the Christmas Market and now we have a bigger and better than ever before Elf Town. This year Elf Town has moved from the city center to a much big location in Ballybrit, the Galway Racecourse. Now Santa as his team have three floors of fun for all the children.
Elf Town is opening on Saturday the 25th of November for every Friday, Saturday and Sunday right up until the 23rd of December. Including the full week prior to Christmas. There is so much to see like Elf Grove and Terrace, Mrs Clause kitchen and Santa’s mail train. New additions include Jay Frosts house made of real ice, where Jay sets the children on a mission to help Santa. Visitors will also be able to see Santa’s elves working away making the Christmas presents.
The trip includes a walk through the Enchanted Forest and Santa’s hero hats and helper badges. Elf town doesn’t forget the grown ups either with mulled wine and mince pies available.
The Connacht Hotel is the ideal location for a family stay in Galway. Located halfway between the Christmas Market and Elf Town, there’s loads to do both inside and outside the hotel. We have a family friendly leisure center with 20meter swimming pool, a baby pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and 24 hour gym. The hotel also has Friendly Fellows kids club which is always jam packed with activities to keep the little ones busy. Rubens Restaurant uses a variety of delicious locally sourced ingredients in its diverse menu which includes a kids menu.
