The Connacht Hotel

Menu

An Púcán is first and foremost a genuine, great craic, proud to be Irish Bar. We are located on the corner of Eyre Square in the beating heart of Galway.

It is the only stand alone pub in The Connacht Hospitality Group and has earned its reputation as having a relaxed, laid back vibe, making it the perfect place to unwind, dine or party at morning, noon and night.

Join Us For A Drink?

Our sister pub, An Púcán, reopened in 2014 with a completely refurbished interior and is going from strength to strength. Located on Forster Street, just off Eyre Square in Galways East Village, it is well worth a visit for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or a refreshing drink while in the city centre.

Because of its location, An Púcán is fast becoming the home of Connacht Rugby, being only a short walk from the sportsground. But its not all rugby here; the new bar at the back has fully equipped HD sports channels - including RTÉ Sports, Sky Sports, Setanta Sports and BT Sports.

The Home of Live Music

Some of Galway's finest live music acts can be found every evening at An Púcán with local music acts performing in the front bar, followed by exciting line ups for the stage in the back bar to keep the momentum going

For late night Saturdays the tables and chairs clear the dance floor to welcome the late night revelers to do their thing to the backdrop of some of Galway’s finest DJs.

Award-Winning Beer Garden
