The 2020 festival will celebrate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth with a three-day weekend of Beethoven themed concerts with musicians from Ireland and abroad. The festival will explore Beethoven’s early solo piano and chamber music compositions, featuring violin sonatas, string quartets, the Quintet for piano and winds and the ever-popular Septet. The 2020 will feature the internationally-celebrated duo team of Russian violinist Alina Ibragimova and French pianist Cédric Tiberghien.
Taking place at the Town Hall Theatre Galway, this popular festival brings people together every year to enjoy great music in a welcoming and comfortable setting. Some programme highlights this year include pieces from Bach, Strauss, Brahms and more, as performed by some fantastic Irish musicians.
