Galway Rally 2022

The Connacht Hotel are delighted to be the Official Headquarters for the Galway International Rally 2022 taking place in February.

The Galway International Rally will revert to a two-day event in 2022 and will take place on 5th & 6th February, the action for the 15-stage,two-day event is centred on the town of Loughrea with short road sections between the stages. It will as usual be the opening round of next seasons Irish Tarmac Rally Championship, and the second round of the Irish Tarmac Historic Rally Championship.

The 2022 rally marks the 51st anniversary of the event which began in 1971. The rally is the first major motorsport event annually in Ireland. Over the years the event has attracted entrants from England, Scotland, Wales, Isle of Man, the former Czechoslovakia, France, America, Gambia, Belgium, Arabia, Norway and Finland. The rally serves as the season opener for the championship and with the Connacht Hotel as its base it is set to be a lively 2 day event.
