Onside

To coincide with the Galway leg of the National Football Exhibition, Onside will demonstrate and celebrate football’s track record of grassroots community activism and its ability to engage with people from all walks of life.

The project will place a particular emphasis on the issues of cultural diversity and refugee integration, given that it coincides with International Day Against Racism and European Week Against Racism in late March.

In addition to the on-street fun engagement activities and football matches, the project will also showcase some of the amazing work done by local communities and football organisations across Europe in response to the
recent and ongoing refugee crisis.
