Cooking with love

Love is in the air here at The Connacht Hotel and there’s no better way to brighten up a dreary Tuesday in February than to head out for a delicious romantic meal. We are feeling very amorous and have created the perfect Valentine's Day menu to help you and your significant other create long lasting memories.  Our head chef Eddy Guegano and his team have created a romantically inspired menu which is ideal for lovers and lovers of good food for only €28 per person.

Girls in Green

It was a disappointing weekend for the Irish mens rugby team in Scotland but the ladies fared must better grinding out a 22-15 win against their Celtic cousins. Centre Jenny Murphy marked her return to the 15-a-side international arena with the decisive bonus point score at rain-hit Broadwood Stadium, preventing the superior Scots from ending an 11-year losing run against Ireland. Mairead Coyne, Alison Miller, Claire Molloy from Connacht all started with former Connacht Ladies Player Sene Naoupu amonst the tries. Mary Healy, Ciara O Connor, and Nichola Fryday also of Connacht feature for the girls in green.
