Six Nations Preview

We are very excited to be hosting an exclusive opportunity for Connacht Rugby. On the night fans can join John Muldoon, Bundee Aki and Gavin Duffy for a panel discussion on the upcoming 6 Nations and the impact Connacht players can have in the championship. Open Day

Chamber Members NUI Galway, Galway Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT), Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB) and the Galway Technical Institute (GTI) will hold a free information day for adult learners on Saturday, 28 January here in the Connacht Hotel from 10am -1pm. ‘Engage ’17’ is suitable for those who need some careers advice; whether it’s to upskill, change career, or find out about study options. This event focuses on adult learners and brings together career advisors and educational providers in the Galway region.

Great Reception

Portsmouth goalkeeper and Galway native David Forde will today Wednesday receive a Mayoral Reception in City Hall. The 37 year old former Galway United shotstopper moved across the water to Barry Town in the Welsh Leagues before making a move to England, playing for the likes of Barnet, Cardiff City, West Ham United, Bournemouth and Millwall where he enjoyed his greatest success  including helping his side to promotion to League One. David has represented the Republic of Ireland with distinction 24 times to date.
