beat of the feet GalwayCelebs grace the forster court hotel

Our sister hotel, The Forster Court, may only be open a few months but it has already had its fair share of familiar faces. The opening week we were delighted to welcome a number of RTE presenters including, Miriam O Callaghan, Marty Morrissey, Des Cahill, Michael Lyster, Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh, and Evanne Ni Chuilinn. The gang were down to enjoy the Galway Races and we were delighted to be the chosen venue. That week we also had Fair City star and well known comedian Eric Lawlor and TV3 weatherman Deric Ó hArtagáin join us as they were picking the best dressed in Halo.

In the past week we were honoured to have one of Ireland's greatest ever dancers stay with us. Jean Butler, who shot to fame was on a famous night in Millstreet on April 30th 1994. I’d say every Irish person remembers where they were on that famous night.

The Galway Races also saw another very well known lady enjoy the newly refurbished city centre sport. Doireann Garrihy, one of the most popular social media stars in the country. Speaking of social media influencers, we were delighted to be able to look after one of Ireland's top bloggers, the incredibly stylish, Ericka Fox who is well known for her blog, Retro Flame. The Kerry native is now making a wonderful career for herself in New York. We are looking forward to hosting more bloggers as the hotel continues to go from strength to strength.

connacht rugby V Ulster
Galway Women's Football Club

This weekend Connacht Rugby head to Belfast to take on Ulster in Kingspan Park on Friday evening at 7:30pm. The game is being shown live on BBC1. The squad will definitely be boosted by a very positive performance against high flying Scarletts in Wales last weekend. One area of concern conceding tries just after scoring. With a four try haul away last week Kieran Keane’s men will be hoping for another good away performance.
