beat of the feet GalwayGalway Celebrates as 2017 Hurling Champions

What an unforgettable weekend that was. Galway have bridged the 28 year gap to become All Ireland Champions. There were emotional scenes as David Burke lifted the Liam McCarthy Cup in an ecstatic Croke Park yesterday. Dublin was a sea of maroon and white yesterday evening as the party continued in to the small hours. The party moves West today as the homecoming celebrations continue in Galway, the team are expected in Ballinasloe at 3:00pm and then onto Pearse Stadium for 6:30pm for further celebrations. Congrats to the entire squad from all in the Connacht Hotel.

Connacht Rugby v Southern Kings
Galway Women's Football Club

Connacht will be looking to get the first win of the season against the Southern Kings this Saturday evening. The South Africans will be looking for a big performance after suffering an absolute hammering against a Leigh Halfpenny inspired Scarletts in the opening round. The Kings who are guests of the hotel this week will be a great test for Kieran Keane as he will be familiar with them from his time in Super 15 rugby. Best of luck to Connacht here’s hoping for a great game.
