make a change with Engage 18
We are delighted to be hosting Engage 18 on Saturday, 27th of January from 10am to 1pm here in the Ryan Room. This event is ideal for those looking for a change in 2018, you will be given advice on various study options, upskilling opportunities, or even career advice. On the day you will potentially be able to speak to someone that is currently employed in the career that you are interesting in.
This event is for those that are currently unemployed or those in jobs looking for a change of direction.

This weekend in the Ryan Room
If you’re looking for a great cultural event in aid of a fantastic cause in Galway this weekend check out Sos. Sos. is a celebration of the diverse original music community in Galway city and county. Sos. is a voluntary run event that promotes social inclusion and positive mental health through the medium of creativity in music. The night is drug and alcohol free and open to all, young and old.
The first show will take place on January 20th at Nuns Island Theatre. The evening will commence at 7pm with refreshments served to the backdrop of beats laid down by maestro DJ Graham Dolan. This will be followed by an all ages open mic before local rockers and winners of the Irish youth music awards, JANAJ take the stage. The night will be rounded off by Galway garage pop four-piece, Dott.
Sos. is run in partnership with The Galway Arts Centre, The Galway City Council and The UNESCO Child and Family Research Centre.

This week in Connacht Rugby
Connacht host their final European Pool Fixture against French outfit Oyonnax on Saturday at 2:30pm. A win will see Connacht earn a home quarter final. Connacht will be confident after a 43-15 away win but after a tricky run of games they won’t take anything for granted.
This is Connacht’s first home game since the excellent win over Ulster. Connacht have a strong squad to choose from with all of the international players available.
The game is not being televised so the only way to watch it is by being there, tickets are still available on the Connacht Rugby site. here.
