Food FestivalGalway Food Festival

Speaking of food, this week see’s the return of the Galway Food Festival. For this year's Festival, the theme is “Planting Seeds” so it covers the origin of our food and lots more as well. The idea behind this year's festival is to plant the seeds of education and awareness; it’s about planting the seeds of economic growth and development and additionally about getting back to our roots. The bars, restaurants and streets of Galway will host over 100 food based events over the weekend so there’s plenty for everybody to enjoy.

European Journey
Champions Cup

Connacht have reached the Quarter Final of the Challenge Cup by topping Pool 5 of the competition in an unbeaten run of six games. They take on Glouchster this Saturday in the Sportsground and will need to return to winning ways after a tough run of games recently including a home defeat to Zebre. The visitors haven’t been on a great run of form either with last weekends narrow victory over London Irish the first win in four. Extra seating has drafted in for the day, so a great atmosphere is guaranteed. Let’s hope glory days are just around the corner again.
