The Galway Christmas Market will take up residence in Eyre Square in the centre of the city again this Christmas season. Monkey Business

Salthill

Woodville Walled Garden

Woodville is home to a restored walled kitchen garden along with a museum outlining the fascinating connection to Lady Augusta Gregory at Woodville. She was a playwritter and patron to W.B. Yeats and through her connections with Yeats and Edward Martyn, they formed the Irish Literature Movement and later established the Abbey Theatre, Dublin. Renville Park

Renville park is a large public park located by the sea. The facilities include a, playground, picnic and barbecue areas. The network of walks through the woodland and open farmland, along with the scenic view of Galway Bay make it a very popular amenity area. Set in the grounds of an old stately house, many of the original structures are still in place.

Burren Nature Sanctuary

Be very quiet in the fairy wood, don't let the adults talk. If you are good the fairies are very kind and can grant your wishes. Post a letter in the fairy post box, if you leave an email the fairy secretary will reply to you but don't knock on the fairy doors! Fairies work very hard all night and sleep in the day. They can be very cranky if you wake them up. They might play a trick on you like put tangles in your hair when you are asleep or dye your hair pink….!
